Party Schedule Example 1 |
| Greet Children (while group activity is going on) |
Welcome each child. Direct the child to the Group Activity area. Having
a group activity gives each child a chance to come in and be an immediate
part of the party without disrupting what other children are doing. |
| Group Activity
30 min. |
Any type of unstructured activity such as coloring, making crafts, etc.
can be used effectively as the children arrive. If the activity involves
an outside activity, such as a trampoline, jumping gym, etc., be sure to
have some type of refreshment ready for everyone when they come inside and
before the show starts. Remember the summer heat and be prepared! |
| Magic Show Approximately 30 min. to 1 1/2 hour(s)
|
The Magic Show will be the highlight of the party!
Everyone, including
the adults, will have a GREAT time! We ENCOURAGE the adults to watch the show. Best of all, you will get a break
while the children are all having fun with the Magician. Be sure to have
the cameras ready. There will be plenty of opportunities for some great
pictures with your child as the show’s Star! Everyone will yell HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the birthday child, MANY times! Video taping of the entire performance is prohibited.
Show length varies from 30 to 45 minutes. However, we can do balloon sculpting (beautiful balloon animals and funny
balloon hats) that all the kids will enjoy and can take
home. This will extend the entertainment coverage up to 1 1/2 hours! What a GREAT way to spend your party time!
|
| Cake & Refreshments
15 min.
|
Time to sing happy birthday and blow out the candles.
Food and refreshments should always be after the Magic Show. |
| Open Presents
15 - 20 min. |
Have some fun opening presents. Be sure to have your pen and paper
ready to write the names of the gift giver for Thank You notes to be
written later. If you do not want to open presents at the party, just go
right to a Group Activity. |
| Group Activities
20 - 30 min. |
If time permits, have another group activity or game (an organized game
such as Pin The Tail On The Donkey) can be used here until the parent
picks up the child. |
| Goodbye & Goodie Bags (while group activity is going on) |
If you have Goodie Bags, give them to the children AS THEY LEAVE.
This will cause less confusion and give the child some fun for home. |
Clean Up & Relax .....................Party Length: 2 – 3 1/2 Hours |

| Food
20-30 min. |
If the party is held around noon
or 5:00PM, you should provide food (such as hot dogs) in addition to cake
as that is lunch or dinner time for everyone. Now would be a great time
for the food. This gives the children a chance to cool off and satisfy
their hunger. |
